Monza Grand Prix

The Italian Grand Prix is a high-speed motorsport race held with single-seaters in Italy. It is one of the oldest Grand Prix races, with its first edition held in 1922. Monza is often called "The Temple of Speed" due to its history and reputation as one of the fastest circuits in the world. On the main straight, which is also known as the grandstand straight, there is a chicane that was added in 1972 to reduce the speed at the entrance to the parabolica curve. Fastest lap record: The fastest lap record in Formula 1 history at Monza is 1:19.119, set by Kimi Räikkönen in a Ferrari during qualifying for the 2018 Italian Grand Prix. Monza is all about speed. The course has a total of 11 turns, a low number compared to other circuits in the F1 program allowing for the drivers to take on a tremendous speed making for a thrilling and jaw dropping experience. The length of the circuit is about 5.8 km long with 53 laps during the GP.
